What you can build in one pass
Add PDFs and photos in the same batch -- a scanned signature page next to a PDF contract, or several photographed pages alongside an existing PDF -- and combine them into one document. Reorder, rotate, delete, or extract pages as you go, so the final file is exactly what you need before you download it.
When to use this instead of a single-purpose tool
For just one task -- only merging, only splitting, only compressing -- the dedicated Merge PDF, Split PDF, or Compress PDF tools are quicker with fewer steps. PDF Studio is for when you need several of those in one pass, or want to redact, highlight, sign, watermark, or password-protect the result before downloading, without re-uploading between separate tools.
What signing actually does
Sign places your drawn signature as an image on the page you position it on -- it looks signed and prints correctly, but it isn't a certificate-based digital signature with built-in tamper-evidence. For something that requires a legally verifiable e-signature (real estate contracts, notarized documents), use a dedicated e-signature service instead.

Is PDF Studio free?
Yes, completely free with no sign-up, no watermark, and no limit on how often you use it.
Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?
No. Every conversion runs in your browser, on your own device. Your file is never sent to a server or stored anywhere but your device.
Can I edit the actual text already in my PDF?
No -- PDFs don't store text as an editable document the way Word does, so in-place text editing isn't something any browser-based tool (or most desktop ones) can do reliably. This tool handles page-level editing: reordering, rotating, deleting, extracting, and combining pages, plus redaction, highlights, signatures, metadata, watermarks, and page numbers.
Does redacting a page actually remove the content underneath?
No -- it draws a solid black box over the marked area in the exported file, which is enough to stop it being visible when opened normally, but the underlying text or image data in the page itself isn't stripped out. Don't rely on it for content that must be provably, permanently unrecoverable.
How strong is the password protection?
It uses standard PDF encryption (RC4 128-bit), which opens correctly in any PDF reader. It's real password protection, but not the newest AES-256 standard some tools offer.
What if I don't know the password on a PDF I add?
Unlocking needs the correct password -- this tool can't recover or brute-force one you don't know. You can skip that file and add the others in your batch instead.
Whose metadata shows up if I combine pages from several files?
The Document info fields are prefilled from the very first PDF you add, since a combined document can only carry one title/author/etc. Adding more files afterward doesn't overwrite what's already there -- edit or clear the fields yourself if you want something different.
Is there a file size or batch limit?
Yes -- each file can be up to 40MB, with up to 20 files in one batch, comfortably enough for most personal and small-business documents.
Can I add photos, not just PDFs?
Yes -- add a mix of PDFs and photos (JPG or PNG) in the same batch; each photo becomes its own page in the combined document.
Does this work on mobile?
Yes -- it works in any modern browser on a phone, tablet, or desktop, with no app to install.
