Extract Tables (AI)
Pulls tables from a scanned PDF into a spreadsheet using an AI vision model, for messy scans the free on-device engine struggles with. Text-layer pages stay entirely on-device.
How it works
- Choose a PDF.
- Text-layer pages stay on-device; scanned pages are read with AI.
- Download an .xlsx with one sheet per table.
Features
- Handles skewed or messy scanned tables better than free OCR
- Text-layer pages never leave your device -- only scanned pages are sent
- Pay-per-use via UPI -- priced at actual AI cost plus a small margin, no subscription
- Works on any modern phone, tablet, or desktop browser
Frequently asked questions
How is this different from the free Extract Tables tool?
The free tool runs OCR entirely on your device, including for scanned pages. This one sends only scanned pages (not pages with a real text layer) to an AI vision model, which reads messy or skewed scanned tables noticeably better.
Is my whole PDF uploaded?
No. Pages with a real text layer are read entirely on-device, same as the free tool. Only pages with no usable text layer -- genuinely scanned pages -- are sent, one at a time, for a single read each.
Is this free?
No -- pages that need AI reading are priced per page and totaled before you pay via UPI, so you always see the exact cost first. Pages with a real text layer are read on-device and are never charged; if every page already has a text layer, the whole extraction is free.
Does this work on mobile?
Yes -- it works in any modern browser on a phone, tablet, or desktop, with no app to install.
