Frequently asked questions
Is my receipt uploaded anywhere permanently?
The image is sent once to a cloud AI service to read it, and is not stored there or in Scanquil after the request completes. Nothing is uploaded unless you separately choose to save the result to a group on this device.
Is this free?
No -- this uses a paid cloud AI service, so it costs ₹3 per receipt or invoice, paid via UPI right before the read runs. There’s no subscription or account; you only ever pay for the one image you’re processing.
What if a field is missing?
Not every receipt has every field (tax and an invoice number are the most commonly missing) -- fields Textract can't find are simply left out rather than guessed.
Does this work on mobile?
Yes -- it works in any modern browser on a phone, tablet, or desktop, with no app to install.
